I think the reason that The Walking Dead and other Zombicalyptic media is so popular is because zombies are a clear-cut, visible, obvious and identifiable problem. we live in a world of hazy, vague, ambiguous threats. it’s hard to understand everything that’s going on and why. zombies may be terrifying, but so is the world we live in now… at least you can tell what you’re fighting in the Zombie Apocalypse. we all secretly wish things were that simple. not that we wanna get bitten. we just wanna know what’s biting us.

the first time i listened to this song, it was a dark and stormy night. not even joking. i was the only one awake in a darkened, silent house. i couldn’t finish the song. i turned it off halfway. i was like, “nope, this is waiting until morning.”One of the best Halloween songs.
