work in progress. making a case for my aunt’s new kindle fire. it’s just pinned really quick here for the photo. if it turns out well enough i might consider making them to sell.

LET’S BE FRANZ
Look at the awesome convertible messenger bag/backpack I commissioned from awhitemothflew for my gf’s birthday. Why yes! Yes, those are hand-beaded ruby slippers!!! This bag is five kinds of awesome and it’s all due to amazing craftmanship.
Please go check out her etsy store awhitemothflew.etsy.com and buy a bag of your own!
i love a happy customer =)
looking thru the sewing tag and realizing ‘hey i should actually get back to work’
current time-filler project is a green corduroy hobo purse… it’s gonna be decorated with little stone beads, perhaps in the shape of a flower? idk yet. just a pretty design, or maybe a paisley? and initially i chose this super happy fraggle-colored rainbow stripe fabric for the inside lining, but now i’m not sure it’s quite right? i might end up going with this cute small print of cartoony whales and rainclouds and fishies. or maybe something else entirely. whatever, photos soon.
if i keep making these goddamn little corduroy hobo bags someone will start buying them right
My latest creation: a cute little cotton clutch made with scrap Superman fabric!
things i dislike intensely
- picking out stitches
- inevitably stabbing myself with the seam ripper
okay, queuing some stuff up b/c i got shit to do today. i finally got to the fabric store and got the colors of thread i needed, which is awesome. to do:
- sew up the three promo patches for Julia, Galen, and Lisa
- work on the patchwork denim bag that i’ve been commissioned to make
- start the most recently ordered name patch (it’s another one in elvish script, guys, WHERE ARE MY DWARVES??? WHERE ARE YOU??)
